Located in central Ubud, this sacred forest houses over 700 Balinese long-tailed macaques within a beautiful temple complex. Kids love it — just secure your belongings!

3. Tirta Empul Temple

One of Bali’s most important Hindu temples, Tirta Empul is famous for its sacred spring water purification rituals. Visiting at dawn, before tour groups arrive, is a genuinely moving experience.

4. Ubud Traditional Art Market

The Ubud Art Market overflows with handmade batik clothing, wood carvings, silver jewellery, and woven goods. Bargaining is part of the fun — start at 40% of the asking price.

5. Campuhan Ridge Walk

A free, stunning walk through jungle and rice fields starting right in Ubud. Best done early morning (6–8am) before the heat. Around 9 km return and mostly flat.

6. Mount Batur Sunrise Trek

Wake at 2am, trek through darkness, and arrive at the summit of an active volcano in time for a breathtaking sunrise over Lake Batur. One of Bali’s most unforgettable experiences. We can arrange guides.

7. Traditional Balinese Cooking Class

Several excellent cooking schools operate near Ubud — including classes that begin with a morning market visit. Learn to make satay, curry, and traditional rice dishes.

8. Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave)
